Qualcomm reverses US FTC's antitrust win

( August 11, 2020, 16:26 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US chipmaker Qualcomm scored a significant victory today, overturning the US Federal Trade Commission's trial win challenging the company's patent licensing practices. The US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit said the FTC "went beyond the scope of the Sherman Act" in its case. "Our job is not to condone or punish Qualcomm for its success, but rather to assess whether the FTC has met its burden under the rule of reason to show that Qualcomm’s practices have crossed the line to 'conduct which unfairly tends to destroy competition itself,'" the court said.See document below....
