Abruzzo environment agency gets GDPR fine over illegal data disclosure

( April 14, 2022, 07:57 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The environmental protection agency of the Abruzzo region of southern Italy has been fined 8,000 euros by the national data protection authority, for the illegal disclosure of personal data. A former employee of the environmental protection agency had complained to the authority that it had published a document online that contained information about a dispute resolution with reference to a criminal proceeding, which had involved the complainant and who was eventually acquitted, the regulator said. The authority said this constituted illegal data processing, in breach of Articles 5, 6 and 10 of the GDPR.The decision is attached in Italian....
