US District Court: Northern District of California - Apple v. Samsung Electronics [order re Apple's motion for sanctions]

( October 3, 2013, 05:13 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US Magistrate Judge Paul Grewal has stepped in to take supervision of the investigation of a possible breach of a protective order that allowed the dissemimation of confidential terms of patent licenses between Apple and Nokia, Sharp, Philips and Ericsson to more than 50 Samsung employees and many outside counsel in Europe, Asia and Australia. Grewal is ordering Samsung to produce witnesses to detail Samsung's possible use of the confidential information in proceedings before the US International Trade Commission and US District Court.
