Entercom, US DOJ amend merger settlement to allow advertising partnerships with previously divested radio stations

( August 7, 2020, 21:57 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Radio station operator Entercom will now be able to enter into advertising partnerships with radio stations it was required to sell in 2017 as part of a settlement with the US Justice Department over its merger with CBS' radio business. Entercom was required to sell stations in markets including Boston, Seattle, San Francisco and Sacramento, California, to several different companies including iHeartMedia. As part of the sales, Entercom was blocked from partnerships involving the divested stations. Now, subject to approval by the DOJ, Entercom will be allowed to partner with those stations to offer national advertising platforms.See document below....
