Apple says DOJ move to force it to defeat iPhone encryption is unconstitutional

( February 25, 2016, 21:15 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Apple said in a response to a US magistrate judge's order that it must assist the government in defeating the encryption on an iPhone used by alleged terrorist Syed Rizwan Farook that the government's demand is unconstitutional. "This case is about the Department of Justice and the FBI seeking through the courts a dangerous power that Congress and the American people have withheld: the ability to force companies like Apple to undermine the basic security and privacy interests of hundreds of millions of individuals around the globe," Apple said in the filing. "No court has ever authorized what the government now seeks, no law supports such unlimited and sweeping use of the judicial processs, and the Constitution forbids it."See document below....
