Goldman Sachs documents in cable-cartel appeal can stay secret, EU's top court says

( October 24, 2018, 12:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The EU Court of Justice says certain documents can remain confidential pertaining to Goldman Sachs' appeal against a lower court rejection of its challenge of a 37.3-million-euro penalty for its part in an undersea cable cartel. Goldman Sachs was included in the European Commission's decision as it had a financial investment in one of the cable makers. The court's president ruled that confidential information in Goldman Sachs' General Court appeal can be withheld from Prysmian SpA and Prysmian Cavi e Sistemi Srl, which intervened in the appeal.Court order below:...
