Japanese LNG sales study looks at sector's competition issues

( June 28, 2017, 08:58 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Japan Fair Trade Commission has released the results of a study of liquefied natural gas sales to Japanese users, saying that it conducted the study to ensure that competition isn't hampered in the industry. The report cites, for example, "destination restrictions," which prevent Japanese users from reselling LNG, and says that such restrictions may be in violation of the nation's antitrust law. The JFTC conducted its survey among users and suppliers of LNG from July 2016 until May 2017 via questionnaires and interviews. The documents are attached....
