Indonesian aviation fuel market should be opened to multiple providers, antitrust agency says

( February 7, 2024, 07:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The supply and distribution of aviation fuel in Indonesia should be opened to more players to address market inefficiencies and reduce prices, the Indonesian Competition Commission, or KPPU, told the country's maritime affairs and investment coordinating ministry in a letter sent last week. The KPPU said its study found that the aviation fuel market's current vertically integrated monopoly structure contributed to prices in Indonesia being 22 percent to 43 percent higher in December 2023 compared with 10 other international airports.
