Indonesian antitrust regulator seeks attorney general's help to enforce $18 million in unpaid fines

( February 7, 2024, 06:47 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Indonesia's antitrust regulator is seeking assistance again from the country's Attorney General's Office to execute approximately 286 billion rupiah ($18.2 million) in fines on 191 businesses from 115 decisions issued over the last 23 years that remain unpaid. M. Fanshrullah Asa, the new chair of the Indonesian Competition Commission, or KPPU, met with the attorney general today to boost the cooperation between the two agencies.
