Unimed de Catanduva settles healthcare antitrust probe

( February 24, 2016, 21:09 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Healthcare cooperative Unimed de Catanduva – Cooperativa de Trabalho Médico has pleaded guilty and agreed to pay 615,440 reais ($155,773) to settle a Brazilian antitrust probe into healthcare services. CADE started to investigate the case after a complaint was filed on Feb. 24, 2014, by Gold Imagem Diagnósticos Médicos. It alleged Unimed de Catanduva had excluded the company from its framework of service providers of Unimed's healthcare plan. On Aug. 20, 2014, CADE decided to launch a formal probe. Unimed will now have to accept Gold Imagem as a service provider for its healthcare plan.CADE's statement follows in Portuguese....
