EU ministers 'bruised' energy-efficiency aims, Coalition for Energy Savings says

( June 27, 2017, 11:44 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: EU governments have failed to adopt a strong commitment to energy efficiency despite efforts by some to push for "meaningful" measures, the Coalition for Energy Savings said. It was reacting to a meeting of EU energy ministers on Monday where it was agreed to compromise on the European Commission's target of 30 percent greater energy efficiency by 2030 by removing its binding effect. The agreement has "bruised" the EU Energy Efficiency Directive but not "broken" it, said Stefan Scheuer, Secretary General of the coalition.The statement follows....
