Swiss competition authority fines door-fittings dealers

( December 9, 2014, 10:39 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Switzerland’s antitrust authority has imposed fines of 185,500 francs (around $190,000) on door-fittings dealers for engaging in illegal agreements. The companies were found to have agreed on minimum margins regarding the bulk sale to door manufacturers of fittings made by Glutz. The companies fined are Fritz Blaser, Rudolf Geiser, Immer, companies of the Koch group and OPO Oeschger, for activities conducted between 2002 and 2007. SFS Unimarket escaped a fine because it blew the whistle on the cartel. The procedure regarding Glutz has been closed because the regulator couldn’t prove the company breached competition rules.Full statement follows in German:...
