​Uber doesn’t have to produce emails with lawyers in Waymo trade secret dispute, judge finds

( June 26, 2017, 18:51 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Uber doesn't have to turn over more than 1,000 emails between the company and its attorneys at Morrison & Foerster, a federal magistrate judge has found. US Magistrate Judge Jacqueline Corley rejected Waymo's argument that Uber should produce the emails because the law firm helped Uber's scheme to steal trade secrets.  Waymo has not "shown by a preponderance of the evidence that Uber's and MoFo's communications were made in furtherance of a criminal scheme," she said. But, Uber must review and amend its log of all privileged documents to make clear which parties have seen them, she said.See statement below. ...
