​Belgian industrial-batteries cartel fined EUR3.857 million

( February 23, 2016, 10:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Belgian competition authority has fined manufacturers of industrial batteries a total of 3.857 million euros for price fixing. The companies imposed a surcharge for lead on the prices of “motive power batteries,” according to the regulator. The companies are Battery Supplies, Celectric, Emrol, Enersys and Hoppecke. Exide Technologies informed the authority about the cartel and therefore escaped fines.Full statement follows....
