Hermann Albers loses legal challenge of German transport support program at EU court

( March 24, 2022, 09:40 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: German bus operator Hermann Albers today saw its legal challenge of a transport support program in Lower Saxony rejected by the EU's top court. In its 2020 appeal, Hermann Albers had argued that the measure constituted new state aid that should have been notified to the European Commission. But in a ruling issued today, the bloc's highest court concluded that the compensation is exempt from the notification obligation.The ruling is attached (in French). Case reference is C-656/20....
