UK bank ring-fencing regime should remain but with opt-out possibility, panel recommends

The group, which has been assessing the UK bank-separation rules for a year, concluded the regime should remain but that changes are needed to make it effective.UK bank-separation rules should not be eradicated but healthy banks should be able to opt out of the currently “overly rigid regime,” an independent panel has concluded....
