( November 18, 2010, 09:03 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Belgian telecoms regulator, BIPT, has closed an investigation into whether KPN Group Belgium was in breach of its licence conditions for the 2.1GHz band in not offering 3G wireless broadband services using those frequencies. The regulator has confirmed that KPN, which operates under the Base brand, is now making use of the spectrum to offer 3G services, and the decision does not prejudice any further investigation into whether KPN is complying with its coverage obligations.The full statement follows (in French):...
