CFTC mulling ways to harmonize rules with those of SEC, Giancarlo aide says

Acting Chairman Christopher Giancarlo's discussions with agency staff have yielded about 35 regulations that "we believe can be streamlined," said Michael Gill, Giancarlo's chief of staff.The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission is considering ways to harmonize derivative rules with those of the US Securities and Exchange Commission as part of a broader effort to simplify application of existing standards, a top CFTC official said....
