Toshiba warns Western Digital to stop 'interfering' in semiconductor business sale

In the letter, Toshiba lawyers accused Western Digital, which operates a joint chip plant in Japan with Toshiba, of mounting an improper campaign of "intentional interference." In April Western Digital demanded exclusive negotiation rights and argued that the sale of the chip venture without its consent would be a breach of the agreement between the two joint-venture partners. In another letter, sent by law firm Morrison & Foerster, Toshiba rejected that argument, Bloomberg reported.  ...
