Nexstar, Tribune file US antitrust paperwork January 8, setting up estimated February 7 expiration date

( January 9, 2019, 23:09 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Nexstar Media Group and Tribune Media filed US antitrust paperwork on Jan. 8 and US Federal Communications Commission applications Jan. 7 on their proposed transactions, according to a Tribune securities filing. The antitrust filing kicks off a 30-day waiting period that is estimated to expire Feb. 7. Nexstar has agreed to divest one or more television stations in specified markets, Tribune said. Nexstar, in FCC paperwork, indicated it would divest a Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, station and has agreed to divest additional stations as required to comply with the agency's national audience reach cap, Tribune said.Excerpt....
