US, EU, Japan trade chiefs to finalize industrial trade plan by spring

( January 9, 2019, 22:11 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: In a joint statement, top trade officials from the US, EU and Japan said officials are working to finalize an industrial trade plan by spring. "On industrial subsidies, Ministers instructed their staff to finalize trilateral text-based work in this area by spring in order to engage other key WTO Members after that, as appropriate," EU Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström, Japan Minister of Economy, Trade Hiroshige Seko and US Trade Representative Robert E. Lighthizer said in the  joint statement. The officials also said they have advanced discussions to address non-market-oriented policies and other countries' practices that lead to severe overcapacity,See attached document....
