Medtronic expects to get US antitrust approval for Covidien merger by the end of November

( October 29, 2014, 15:02 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Medtronic Vice President Geoff Martha said that the company expects to get US antitrust approval for its planned $42.9 billion acquisition of Covidien by the end of November, according to a regulatory filing by Covidien on Wednesday. Martha also said the company hopes for EU approval sometime in early December, and Chinese approval probably at the end of December.
