Senior Democratic lawmakers request more disclosure of small business loan recipients

( June 23, 2020, 18:36 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Small Business Administration and US Treasury should disclose all recipients of Paycheck Protection Program small business loans, three senior Democratic lawmakers said. The SBA’s current plan is to disclose just those who got loans of $150,000 to $10 million. But names of borrowers who got less than $150,000 should also be made public, since they constitute 85 percent of all recipients, said Representatives Maxine Waters, head of the House Financial Services Committee; Richard Neal, head of the House Ways and Means Committee; and Nydia Velazquez, head of the House Small Business Committee.Statement follows in full. ...
