Swedish Competition Authority: Continued investigation into Luleå broadband provision

( July 2, 2010, 08:52 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Swedish competition authority has issued a decision to continue its investigation of certain aspects of a complaint brought by telecoms operator Telenor against the municipal broadband network operator Lunet. Claims under further scrutiny include the provision of free broadband connectivity to municipal housing tenants, and the inclusion of broadband subscription in tenants' rent regardless of whether they use the service or not. However, the authority is not investigating claims that Lunet acted in a discriminatory manner in providing 'dark fibre' wholesale services to other operators.The decision is linked below...
