Spanish Competition Authority: CNC fines envelope exporters’ cartel

( October 17, 2012, 10:27 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Spanish competition authority has fined six companies around 3.7 million euros for price-fixing agreements and carving up the market for envelope exports, in breach of national and EU antitrust rules. The infringements were co-ordinated through Hispapel, a company created for that purpose, and lasted for 30 years, starting in 1981. Some of the companies sanctioned are Unipapel, Antalis and Tompla. Antalis’s fine was reduced for the company’s contribution to the detection of the cartel....
