Motorola uses UK antitrust court to challenge CMA probe into mobile radio networks

( January 6, 2022, 17:20 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Motorola has filed a legal challenge against the Competition and Markets Authority's opening of a market investigation into its dual involvement in the operation of emergency mobile radio networks, the Competition Appeal Tribunal has said. The CMA is investigating whether Motorola's control of both the Airwave network, and its role as a supplier of key elements of the design and rollout of the new Emergency Services Network, may prevent, restrict or distort competition. It worries that the market for the supply of the mobile radio network used by all UK emergency services might not be working well, meaning a more costly service for customers, and ultimately taxpayers....
