Bayer, Monsanto win conditional clearance in Canada

( May 30, 2018, 13:47 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Canada's Competition Bureau has approved Bayer's proposed acquisition of Monsanto with conditions, according to a consent agreement. The bureau's agreement aims to preserve competition in the markets for supply of canola seeds and traits, soybean seeds and traits, carrot seeds and nematicide seed treatments in Canada. Bayer agreed to divest: (i) its canola and soybean seed and traits businesses, (ii) its glufosinate-ammonium herbicide business; (iii) its LibertyLink gene and event technology business (excluding the LibertyLink event in rice); (iv) the Centurion Assets; (v) its carrot seed business; (vi) its digital farming business in Canada; and (vii) the VOTiVO and ILeVO nematicidal seed treatment business.See document below....
