Japan to provide cybersecurity training to employees of utilities, steelmakers

( January 4, 2017, 09:18 GMT | Insight) -- Japan's trade ministry plans to provide cybersecurity training to about 100 people a year, starting in the new fiscal year that begins in April, the Nikkei newspaper reports. The ministry will recruit trainees among employees at utilities, steelmakers and other businesses. There are concerns about cyberattacks on power generation facilities and steel plants. The ministry will use mock plant facilities and provide training on how to restart systems when facilities are attacked online.
