US SEC’s Gensler seeks $73 million more for fiscal 2024 than Senate Appropriations Committee authorized

( July 19, 2023, 20:43 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Gary Gensler, head of the US Securities and Exchange Commission, requested $2.44 billion for the agency’s fiscal 2024 operations — $73 million more than was authorized last week by the Democratic-led Senate Appropriations Committee. The committee’s funding, if approved by the full Congress, would maintain the SEC level at what it has been for fiscal 2023.
