Ng, Macau developer, sentenced to serve four years, pay $1 million fine, forfeit $1.5 million for UN bribery

( May 11, 2018, 22:22 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Ng Lap Seng, the chairman of a real estate company, was sentenced today to 48 months in prison and three years of supervised release for his role in a scheme to bribe United Nations ambassadors to obtain support to build a conference center in Macau. US District Judge Vernon S. Broderick also ordered him to pay a $1 million fine and $302,977 in restitution to the United Nations, and pay a forfeiture money judgment of $1.5 million.
