China's Big Three telecom subsidiaries fined for price-fixing in Zhejiang

( July 18, 2025, 09:37 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Subsidiaries of China’s three major telecom providers — China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom — are among five fiber Internet companies fined for price-fixing in Zhuji city, Zhejiang province. The provincial market regulator in Zhejiang began its investigation in April 2021 and issued the penalties at the end of June 2025, according to administrative decisions released today by the State Administration for Market Regulation. Each company was fined 500,000 yuan ($69,660) for forming, but not implementing, cartel agreements. The statement follows and the penalty decisions are attached....
