New Zealand watchdog warns ophthalmologists not to hinder optometrists' work

In a statement, the New Zealand Commerce Commission said its investigation into the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists had focused on a letter written by the organization to its members, advising them against facilitating optometrists in performing two types of laser-eye surgery.
