Indonesian regulator prioritizes digital markets law, antitrust amendment in lawmaker meeting

( November 1, 2024, 04:28 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Amending Indonesia's competition law and introducing a digital markets law were the top legislative priorities raised by the country's antitrust regulator during a meeting with the new batch of lawmakers yesterday. The Indonesian Competition Commission, or KPPU, also told the members of Commission VI, which oversees trade and investment, that it has issued 11 policy recommendations over the past eight months, including allowing multiple jet fuel providers at airports. The regulator also emphasized that it has so far been unable to collect 280 billion rupiah ($17.8 million) in antitrust fines from around 100 entities because of its limited authority....
